TERMS & CONDITIONS, SHIPPING POLICY

By ordering from Bite the Macaron you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

  • All rights in the site design, text, graphics and other content, interfaces, and the selection and arrangements thereof belong to Bite the Macaron, bitethemacaron.co.uk. All rights are reserved as set out below. Permission is granted to electronically copy and to print hard copy portions of this site for the sole purpose of placing an order with Bite the Macaron, bitethemacaron.co.uk or using this site as a shopping resource. Any other use of materials on this site, including reproduction for purposes other than those noted above, modification, distribution, or republication is strictly prohibited.
  • We reserve the right to use photographs of orders we prepare on our website, blog, Instagram Facebook pages. If you would like to specifically request that we do not use pictures of your order, or that we provide you with a picture of your order we will usually be happy to do so but you must let us know at the time of ordering.

Online, telephone macaron orders

  • Payment is needed to confirm online (on-line shop, e-mail, facebook, instagram orders) and telephone orders and until payment is received your order cannot be guaranteed. For orders booked via an invoice pro forma payment is strongly recommended, and we reserve the right to cancel any order still awaiting payment on the delivery date.
  • Due to the nature of production goods ordered in a specific colour, flavour and appearance may or may not be the exact equivalent of any pictures or samples provided in advance. We cannot take responsibility for any damage caused by couriers mishandling of the parcel, and will not offer a refund or replacement.
  • We send our macarons fresh and they are best kept cool in the fridge for up 7 days. Macarons are best consumed at room temperature.
  • All specifications are approximate only and as the product is handmade, subject to some variation and deviation.
  • If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so by 9 am on the day the parcel is due to be despatched, as this is when we process the orders. 
  • In the event that there is a pricing error on the website we will not be bound to honour any orders made at that price.

Returns for macaron orders

  • We are only able to offer a refund if the items are proven to be faulty and that the fault is in the production of the product.
  • In the event where the fault is with the product, we will require the product to be sent back to us before issuing a refund. 
  • You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. 
  • Depending on circumstances, Bite the Macaron will issue a credit note, discount offer or resend the order.
  • If, for some reason, you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact us on at info@bitethemacaron.co.uk within 24 hours of when the package was received, and we will make every effort to make sure you are happy with your Bite the Macaron experience.

Weddings, Corporate and other large quantity event orders

  • Due to the nature of production, goods ordered in a specific colour, flavour and appearance may or may not be the exact equivalent of any pictures or samples provided in advance. 
  • All specifications are approximate only and as the product is handmade, subject to some variation and deviation.
  • We cannot take responsibility for any damage caused by couriers mishandling of the parcel, and will not offer a refund or replacement.
  • Orders for bespoke wedding orders can only be cancelled 4 weeks prior to pick up or shipping.

Returns for Weddings, Corporate and other large quantity event orders

  • If, for some reason, you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact us at info@bitethemacaron.co.uk within 24 hours of when the package was received, and we will make every effort to make sure you are happy with your Bite the Macaron experience. 
  • We are only able to offer a refund if the items are proven to be faulty and that the fault is in the production of the product. We will require pictures taken within 24 hours of receiving the order.
  • In the event where you feel you cannot use the macarons, we will require the macarons to be returned to us at, Bite the Macaron, 271 Boxley Road, Maidstone, ME14 2AE UK, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which they arrived. You will bear the cost of returning the products.
  • Depending on circumstances, Bite the Macaron will issue a credit note, discount offer or resend the order.

Cancellations and modifications

  • If you wish to cancel or modify your online order (not for private or wedding orders) you must do so no later than 9 am of the intended shipment date.
  • For order cancellation or modification requests, please call send email: info@bitethemacaron.co.uk immediately. We will do our best to accommodate your needs, however, such requests may not be possible due to the order processing schedule. If we are for any reason unable to answer your call please leave us a message including your name, contact number and order number. We aim to respond before close of business that day, or within 24 hours at the latest excluding weekends. 

SHIPPING POLICY

Bite the Macaron ships orders UK wide using Royal Mail as our third party shipping provider. We use their 24 hour standard and tracked delivery service. See Royal Mail for their full terms and conditions. Please note that this is not a guaranteed service.

The Royal Mail specify that the 24 hour tracked service is an ‘aimed for’ service where the majority of parcels reach their destination within 24 hours. No complaints can be made until 7 days have passed without delivery.

Delivery dates are approximate and no liability whatsoever is accepted in respect of late deliveries that are shipped on time.

Royal Mail shipping that is ‘In time for’ a seasonal event may arrive one or two days earlier than the event if the date falls on a public bank holiday.

We cannot take responsibility if the customer is not at home to accept the delivery. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the recipient is available to sign for their parcel. If they are not the parcel will be returned to the depot and a non-delivery card will be left with further instructions.

You must contact us within fourteen (14) days of the expected delivery date to notify us of any late or missing shipments. 

It is your responsibility to ensure that you order from us with sufficient lead-time to prevent any loss or disappointment resulting from non-shipment or late delivery that is beyond our control.
